Container Freight Stations, Inland Container Depots (CFS/ICD)

Container freight stations and inland container depots are often referred to as dry ports, as they provide similar services as ports with the exception of vessel calling. They are a significant part of the container trade, since they allow exporters and importers the option of storage and pick up of cargo.

A suitable insurance can cover damage to their property and equipment, as well as any damage to others’ property in their custody. They can avail of property insurance and liability cover to insure themselves against loss to their own property and claim from third parties.
